Installation, Operation and Maintenance Instructions
Weather-proof louvre, horizontal,
WSG-H3 for flat roof
The Lucoma type H3 weather-proof louvre can be used on
all flat roof types with a pitch of 0°–35°. If the roof con-
struction has a slope, it must be taken into consideration
when installing the louvre. To ensure trouble-free drain-
age of the louvre, water outlets and the blade alignment
must be positioned as shown in the drawings below.
Undesired water flow may occur if the installation is not
carried out properly. In this case, the manufacturer cannot
assume any liability for consequential damage.
On horizontal weather-proof louvres at locations exposed
to extreme weather, the customer should fit a seal along
the contact surface between the flange and the frame.
Make absolutely certain that the flanges are fully seated
along the entire periphery when the louvre is installed. On
weather-proof louvres which have air duct connection
nozzles and/or internal water drain pipes, the nozzles or
pipes must have a torsion-free connection. The weath-
er-proof louvres are then fully functional.
ATEX:
Compliance is mandatory with all relevant interna-
tional and national standards and regulations for Ex
zones. With louvres in ATEX design in particular, the louvre
housing must be earthed using the earth wires fitted by
the manufacturer. When using sealing materials, make
sure that they are suitable for the particular ATEX zone. It
is prohibited to make any mechanical modifications to the
product. In addition, do not attach any components (frost
monitors, temperature sensors etc.) to the louvres if these
components have not been analysed for danger of igni-
tion by their manufacturer or approved for the particular
ATEX zones.
