Installing the WavePOINT-II AP - Hardware Installation

The hardware installation of the ORiNOCO WavePOINT-II AP is
summarized as follows:
1. Verifying Kit Contents.
2. Registering your ORiNOCO Products.
3. Placing Mounting Plate and Power Supply.
4. Connecting the Network Interfaces.
5. Mounting the Cover Plate.
Verifying Kit Contents 2
1. Unpack the ORiNOCO WavePOINT-II AP and verify that all items are
present as described in “WavePOINT-II AP Kit Contents” on page 1-12.
2. Unpack the ORiNOCO PC Cards and verify that all items are present as
described in the User’s Guide that came with your ORiNOCO Kit(s).
Registering your ORiNOCO Products 2
Before you proceed, write down the following values of the following
components that you are about to install:

Serial Number and MAC address of the WavePOINT-II AP.
■
Serial Number and MAC address of the ORiNOCO PC Cards.
