6. Commissioning, operaon

2. Release the pressure and remove the test instrument.

To remove the instrument from the system, use the appropriate size

of spanners on the top secon of the pressure connecon and on the

body of the instrument only. Ensure that the lower part of the pressure

connecon is not rotated as this may release it from the base.

3. The system is now ready for use.

CAUTION!

If the volume required to be illed is very large requiring the use of an

addional pump and reservoir to be connected to the

LDW-HK

LR-

Cal

it is ESSENTIAL to ensure that valve

is kept open and valve

closed

at all mes otherwise a high pressure can be built up on the low pressure

ram of the screw press and damage caused. To ensure this does not

happen we can supply the system i ed with a relief valve, which will

release at a set pressure, should the valve operaon be incorrect.

Alternavely, we can supply a modi ied system and hand pump for this

operaon. For f rther informaon on both items contact

When tesng equipment with a large volume, the capacity of the screw

pump (65 cm³) may be insu cient to reach the pressure required. In this

ﬃ

case, the equipment should be illed as far as possible with the liquid

before connecng it to the system, so that the displacement needed is

reduced.

Dirty or chemically contaminated test items should not be i ed as they

contaminate the system unless they are irst cleaned.

Wear safety goggles!

6.6 Procedure

1. Fit instrument to be tested to gauge stand.
