Recommended stages for automated cleaning and disinfection

Packaging
After cleaning and disinfection, put the adapter in sterile packaging. The sterile
packaging must fulfil the requirements of the ISO 11607 standard.
Sterilization
Sterilize the adapters in a hot steam sterilizer at 134 °C and 0.21 MPa. Minimum
duration of a sterilization cycle: 5 minutes

Storage
Store the device in its original packaging in a closed, ventilated room at an air
temperature between 5 °C and 40 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 80%
at a temperature of 25 °C.
In case of temporary withdrawal from the packaging, store the device at an am-
bient temperature of 5 °C to 40 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 80% (at
25 °C). Devices should be stored on a rack in a single line. Do not store the device
in places where acid vapours or other harmful vapours may occur.
In case of long-term storage after use, the device should be placed in a polyeth-
ylene case and, if possible, in the original packaging to protect it from mechanical
damage.
The device may be transported in the original packing without any limitation of
distance, according to the applicable transportation regulations. The temperature
range for transport is from -50 °C to +50 °C.
Caution
After transport at temperatures below 0 °C, the device should be
allowed to accommodate to the normal ambient conditions for 12
hours before unpacking.
