6. Fold the moving part of the secretion canister lid upwards so that the hooks are
released and take off the lid from the secretion canister.
7. Empty and clean the reusable secretion canister and the lid according to
section 4.1.3 resp. 4.2.3.
8. Remove the used bacterial filter before a new patient uses the device or when it
has already been used for one patient for 6 month or as needed. Move the lever
that is in the horizontal position a quarter turn counter clockwise so that the lever
points vertically downwards subsequently.

9. When the lever is in this position, pull the bacterial filter out of the fitting and
dispose of the bacterial filter properly.
10. Insert a new bacterial filter (see section 3.2.1).
11. Clean the surface of the device according to section 4.1.2 resp. 4.2.2.
Recommendation in the event of an extended storage period: Keep the
device in suitable packaging, e.g. the shipping carton, until it is used the
next time.
