PRODUCT COMPONENTS
Before first and each next use disassemble the breast pump. Wash all components of breast pump and bottle in warm
water with mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly and disinfect in accordance to rules below.
Before first use, disinfect all components which come in contact with mother’s milk (nr.2,3,4,11,12,13,14,15,16), by
placing them for 5 minutes in boiling water. This is to ensure hygiene. NOTE! Do not leave components on the bottom
of the pot. Stir the water during disinfecting to prevent damage to components.
•
Be sure that all components are completely submerged in boiling water during disinfection.
•
Do not boil elements that don’t have direct contact with mothers milk and electric elements.
•
Remove all components from water immediately after boiling.
Before subsequent use, disinfect all above mentioned elements of breast pump and bottle by pouring with boiling
water or placing in electric or microwave steam sterilizer, to ensure hygiene.
WARNING! There are no other elements that can be disinfected in microwave sterilizer.
•
Do not pour water on bladder cap (nr.5). If you will notice water on or in the cap, pull out the cup plug and leave
both elements to dry, so that water won’t enter the tubing and the pump unit.
•
Warning! Do not disinfect silicone tubing with connectors, plastic brace, bladder cap and electric elements. Do not
submerse these elements in water. Wipe with disinfectant.
After each disinfection completely air- or towel-dry before reassembly and next use. Dried parts should be stored in an
airtight container or a plastic bag. You can also use a clean towel.
Warning! Partially dry components may affect the operation of your Electronic Breast Pump. Make sure that all parts
are completely dry before use.
Washing instructions:
•
Always wash the product immediately after use to remove any residual milk.
•
Disconnect the tubing with connectors. These elements don’t need cleaning, because the silicone bladder
protects them from contact with feed.
•
Clean all components of the breast pump in accordance with the instructions mentioned above.
•
DO NOT use any solvents or chemicals to clean the product.
•
Rinse with clean, hot water.
•
If you use electric sterilizer for disinfecting elements please follow the instructions given by its manufacturer.
Silicon massage cushion with anti-backflow valve should be washed very gently and the food should not be allowed
to dry out on its surface.
Warning! Before each use, check the condition of all elements for cracks, tears, discoloration or deterioration, as they
may affect the effectiveness of the device.
How to disinfect the teat?
Before first and each use wash all parts of the product and disinfect. Place for 5 min in boiling water. This is to ensure
hygiene. Clean before each use. Boiling and hard water may create lime scale effect. Wash all parts thoroughly with
clean water, including areas that may be invisible but where food has passed, to remove any food residues. After using,
remove the remaining food from the bottle and the teat, rinse, wash and disinfect in a steam/electric sterilizer or in
boiling water. Bottle can be washed in dishwasher (max. temp. 60⁰C). It is not recommended to place the teat in a
dishwasher. Hard chemicals / detergents may damage the product. Do not use any antibacterial agents. Inspect the
feeding teat before each use and pull the feeding teat in all directions. Especially when the baby has teeth. Throw
away at the first signs of damage or weakness. Do not tighten up the bottle locking ring, as it may disturb the teat’s
ventilation. Always check for leakage. Never enlarge the teat flow holes by any means, as it can damage the teat. Take
particular care when heating in a microwave. Always stir heated food to ensure even distribution of temperature and
check liquid temperature before giving it to the child. When warming food in a microwave, remember to leave the
bottle open. Do not place product in hot oven or heat in a gas/electric cooker. Do not leave a feeding teat in direct
sunlight or heat, or leave in disinfectant (“sterilising solution”) for longer than recommended, as this may weaken the
teat. It is recommended to replace a teat max. after 2 months of use. Retain the instruction for later use. Bottle made
from Polypropylene. Batch code is placed on the packaging.
