OM-LHP 9
Lighting Instructions
The burners are fitted with individual standing pilots for each burner. This allows the
main burners to be turned ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’ without the need to manually relight the burner
each time it is turned ‘ON’. The burner will automatically light itself by the pilot burner.
Flame Failure Protection is incorporated by way of a thermo-electric system which
will shut off the gas supply to the burner(s) in the event the pilot burner goes out. This
prevents unburned gas from continuing to flow.
1.
Select the required burner, press the gas control knob in and rotate counter-
clockwise to the ‘pilot’ position.
2.
With the gas control knob held in the pressed position, press the Piezo igniter
button to ignite the pilot burner (or use a lighting stick to ignite the pilot burner).
3.
Hold in the gas control knob for approximately 10-15 seconds, then release.
The pilot burner should remain lit. (If not, wait 5 minutes then repeat steps 1
and 2 above.)
4.
The pilot ignition can be viewed through the hole between the Piezo igniter
button and the dial.
5.
Ensure that the pilot burner is lit by checking through the hole beside the
control knob on the front control panel.
6.
Rotate the gas control knob counter-clockwise. The main burner will ignite
automatically.
7.
To turn the main burner off,
rotate the gas control knob clockwise to the
‘pilot’ position. The main burner will extinguish and the pilot burner will
remain lit.
8.
To turn all the burners off,
rotate the gas control knob fully clockwise to the
‘
●
’ (OFF) position. The main burner and the pilot burner will extinguish.
9.
Wait 5 minutes before relighting.
