Standards are wonderful. That’s why we have so many to choose from. While AES-67 created
standard packet sizes and timing methods, it did not specify which method manufacturers
should use to announce to other devices the names and addresses of their sources.
At Logitek, our solution to this dilemma was to identify the three biggest AoIP systems on the
market, license them, and then create an internal channel guide that searches for all three and
builds a list in the JET67 of what’s available on the network. Therefore, if your other AoIP
devices use
L,
Ravenna
, or a
Dante
card in AES-67 mode, we will automatically find
those streams and put them into the Inputs From Network list.
Native Dante streams will appear in the network pages when the Dante card is installed. More
information about Dante is in the Dante setup chapter.
One more thing to note on this page before we go into more detail about how to use it: you will
see at the top of the screen that
“Red Inputs from Network are NOT active.”
Disregard this!
