1. Introduction to the Logicube OmniWIPE
Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Logicube
OmniWIPE. You are now the proud owner of a
state-of-the-art IDE/SATA drive data wiping device.
The OmniWIPE is designed to be easy enough to
be used by a novice, yet offers many professional
features that are not available anywhere else.
The Logicube OmniWIPE is designed solely for
erasing data on one, two or three hard drives. The
OmniWIPE has two modes of operation: WipeOut
and Security Erase. With WipeOut mode, the first
drive is typically called the Master, while the other
two are termed Targets. In Security Erase Mode, all
three drives are Targets.
The OmniWIPE is able to erase data at speeds
exceeding 4.0 GB/min. It is also capable of
conforming to the DoD M-2550 standard of erasing
electronic data.
