Grain Bag Unloader OM

Troubleshooting

To assist with maintenance and repair, the following list of common problems and corrections is provided.

PROBLEM

POSSIBLE CAUSE

SOLUTION

PTO driveline vibration.

PTO driveline loose or worn.

Check the PTO driveline connections.

Tighten or repair if necessary.

PTO driveline u-joints dry.

Lubricate the u-joints.

Shaft bearings inside tube are worn. Replace shaft bearings.

Remote hydraulic controls not

functioning correctly.

Hydraulic hoses not installed

correctly.

Reverse hydraulic hoses at the

tractor.

Hydraulic couplers not opening.

Replace couplers.

Open center is closed center.

Open/Close 3-bank valve.

Rabbit/Turtle valve is contaminated. Remove valve and clean inner spool

until it moves freely.

Grain bag is not wrapping on the

roller evenly.

Tractor/Unloader not aligned with the

grain bag.

Adjust the Tractor/Unloader (GBU).

Grain bag not started correctly.

Adjust grain bag.

Grain building up by the roller.

Roller wind is set too fast.

Decrease roll-up speed.

Cross augers set too high.

Lower cross augers.

Bag cutting knife not cutting

correctly.

Bag coming off knife.

Switch to lower knife setting.

Cutting knife is not locked in the

operation position.

Install pin and clip to lock the cutting

knife in the operating position.

Tractor/Unloader (GBU) not aligned

with the grain bag.

Adjust the Tractor/Unloader (GBU).

Grain is not exiting the top auger

housing.

Main auger not engaged at fold.

Verify top auger drive peg contacts

lower auger drive.

17 in. drive chain broken at auger

bottom.

Replace drive chain.
