Locate the unit so that if the water
connections should leak, water damage
will not occur. When such locations cannot
be avoided, it is recommended that a
suitable drain pan, adequately drained, be
installed under the unit. The pan
must not
restrict combustion air flow.
Allow sufficient space in the back of
water heater for servicing pipe
connections, pump, and other auxiliary
equipment, as well as the unit.
The unit must be placed on a
level floor; combustible floor locations
may be used.
