Maintaining and servicing your set
Y
our locomotive is illuminated by three 12-volt lamps, located at both the front and rear
of the locomotive and in the cab. During the course of normal operations, these lamps
may require replacement. Replacement lamps are available from your authorized Lionel
Service Center or Lionel Service. Refer to the Service Center list that is packed with this set to
locate a service center near you.
To replace the cab interior lamp (part no. 600-8352-311), pinch the center of the cab
inward and lift it off the body. Refer to Figure 8. The lamp wires will attach the cab to the
body. Remove the socket and wires from the holder, then remove and replace the expired lamp.
Replace the socket and reinstall the cab. Make sure all the wires are inside the body before you
snap it into place.
Replacing the headlamps is a bit more tricky, and we recommend that you have them serviced
by an authorized Lionel Service Center.
