Setting up your Boom Car in your CAB-2 remote

or best operation, your Boom car should be set to TYPE CRN (Crane). This will display a special
set of touch screen icons specifically designed for use with this type of car.
1. Press ENG and the 1 or 2 digit TMCC ID you assigned to your car following the
instructions on page 3.
2. Press INFO.
3. Scroll the big red knob until you see the TYPE Tab (DSL STM DSW SSW)
4. Press the small black down-facing triangle to the right of SSW. This will scroll
down through several pages of engine types.
5. Choose CRN. Your screen should look like this:
6. Press the Scoll button and turn the big red knob until you see the Sound Tab.
7. Press the small black down-facing triangle to the right of SSW and keep
pressing it until you see a list of sound types.
8. Choose LRS (LEGACY RailSounds). Your screen should look like this:
9. Press INFO to complete the operation.
Be sure to set the car and sounds type to those mentioned above or else the quilling horn
will not work properly. See pages 5 and 6 to operate the sound car.
