Connecting Shielding Gas
For connecting shielding gas you should:
q
Secure the gas cylinder and protect it against to an overturn or other risk.
q
Take off the hub cap of safety valve of the shielding gas cylinder and open it for
a moment for remove potential impurities.
q
Install the regulator on the gas cylinder.
q
Connect the shielding gas hose of the combined cable to the regulator.
q
Connect the other end of gas hose to the socket placed on the rear side of
the electrode wire feeder.
q
Close cylinder valve when not in use.
Joining Power Source and Electrode Wire Feeder
q
Connecting the power source and the electrode wire feeder is made by means
the combined cable which consists of a few of cables and hose.
They realize all necessary connectings.
q
For supplying power voltage and control signals from the power source to the wi-
re feeder you should join sockets placed on the rear sides of the power
source and the wire feeder each other by the control cable.
q
For closing welding current circuit you should join sockets placed on the
rear sides of the power source and the wire feeder each other by the welding ca-
ble.
q
For supplying shielding gas to the wire feeder and farther to the welding torch you
should join the gas supplying hose to the socket placed on the rear side of
the wire feeder. The gas supplying hose is ended by the coupling.
Welding Torch Connection
q
Connect the welding torch to the EURO socket placed on the front side of
the electrode wire feeder.
q
We recommend to use the welding torch type MB 40 KD made by Binzel.
