Commissioning and operation:
The device has 2 different operating modes. It can be operated as 4 channel chaser or as 1, 2 or 4
channel DMX dimmer pack. Please read the information below to operate the device in the desired
mode for your performance.
Chase mode:
Select this mode only if you want to use the device as a 4 channel chaser. The device has 16
programmed programs. You can select each program individually or let the device play a random
sequence of the 16 programs. The speed can be adjusted in this case.
01. Connect your lighting system to one of the 4 current outputs of the device.
02. use the Mode button to set the Chase mode. The Chase mode is shown in the display as „PA“
followed by the numbers 01-16. „PA“ stands for „Program Applied“. If the display shows an „A“,
you are in DMX mode. „A“ stands for „Address“. 03.
03. Set your desired Chase Pattern: Once you have selected the Chase function, use the Menu key
to select the desired program. The selected pattern is indicated in the display by a „P“ followed by
the respective number. You can select any of these programs.
04. set the desired speed: At this point you can set the program speed. In Chase mode, press the
Menu button until the display shows „SP“ followed by two numbers. You can now set the speed
with the „Up Arrow“ and „Down Arrow“ keys. The setting „99“ is the fastest speed.
(in about 1 step per 0.1 seconds) setting „01“ is the slowest speed
(about 1 step per 30 seconds).
05. adjust the light intensity: Press the Menu button until „d“ appears in the display. With the
„Arrow up“ and „Arrow down“ keys you can now adjust the light intensity. The setting „00“ is
the lowest output, „99“ the highest and thus corresponds to full intensity.
DMX mode:
Select this mode only if you use the device as a DMX dimmer. This function allows you to adjust
the settings and intensity of lamps with a DMX controller. On, Off and Dimming functions can
be controlled with this function. You can also set the unit to function as a 1, 2 or 4 channel DMX
dimmer pack.
DMX operation:
01. connect a DMX controller to your Dimmer Pack using the 3-pin XLR inputs.
02. connect your lighting system to one of the 4 current outputs of the device.
03. then decide if you want to use the dimmer pack as 1, 2 or 4 channel device. This function
allows you to control all 4 outputs with one DMX channel. Group outputs 1 and 2 as well as 3 and
4 are also possible. The first group is controlled by one DMX channel, the second group by another
DMX channel. The dimmer pack then has a DMX value of 2. The default setting is 4 channel DMX,
each channel is controlled by one DMX channel.
04. To change the channel functions, you must be in DMX mode. Use the Menu button to have the
display show „CH“ followed by the two numbers. With the „Arrow up“ and „Arrow down“ keys
you can now set the values 01,02 or 04.
To change this setting, you must be in DMX mode. Use the Menu button to recall the address
setting. It is indicated in the display by an „A“ followed by 3 numbers. With the „Arrow up“ and
„Arrow down“ keys you can now set the desired DMX address. The DMX address will tell your
DMX controller which channels to control.
