Many locations have excessive mineral content in the source
water that can build up inside the ionizer over time and cause
blockage. A routine acidic cleaning of the ionizer chamber
can help maximize the life and performance of your ionizer by
reducing the build up of these harmful minerals.
In areas with heavy mineral content, this is recommended
once a week. It is also recommended to do this procedure in
the evening as it takes several hours to be effective.
• Run the ionizer on acid level 2 for one minute.
• Turn off the source water to the ionizer.
• Let the water “soak” in the chamber overnight (several hours).
• Run the unit again on acid level 2 to rinse the minerals from
the machine.
• Return the unit to normal operation.
