6. Maintenance
Although the finishing screed has few moving parts, regular maintenance promotes a long, trouble-free
life.
Warning:Make sure that the Hal200Li finishing screed is completely de-energized during
maintenance or cleaning work (remove the battery).
6.1. Cleaning inlet covers
For proper cooling of the engine, the ventilation openings on both sides of the engine housing must be
free. Check this at the end of every working day or before the work. If the ventilation openings are not
free, clean the ventilation covers as follows:
1. Unscrew the fixing screw from one of the ventilation covers.
2. Remove the air inlet cover from the drive unit.
3. Clean the inside and outside of the air inlet cover with a brush and water.
4. There is a dust filter inside the air inlet cover. If the ventilation openings need to be cleaned, the
filter must be replaced (part number: 1801000105 order 2x for 2 filters.).
5. Caution: Ensure that no water enters the motor housing.
6. Clean the area around the ventilation opening in the motor housing with a damp cloth.
7. Replace the dust filter.
8. Place the ventilation cover over the ventilation opening in the motor housing. Make sure that the
holes in the ventilation hood are in line with the holes in the motor housing.
9. Secure the ventilation cover to the motor housing with the screw.
10. Perform all the operations listed in this section for the other ventilation hood.
6.2 Cleaning the battery
The ventilation openings must be free for proper cooling of the battery.
Check this at the end of every working day or before the work.
If the ventilation openings are not free, clean the air inlet covers with a dry soft brush.
6.3 Cleaning the battery charger
The ventilation openings must be free for proper cooling of the battery charger.
