If everything appears normal, check for any loose connection of wires. Locate
a fuse mounted on a busbar between the DC capacitors and the IGBTs.
Check for the healthiness of this fuse. If it is faulty, replace the same and
attempt to restart the UPS. Even then if the UPS does not become ON, then
call your nearest Sales office.
After replacement of the fuse, if the UPS becomes on, check for the external
fault which must have caused this failure. After repairing the fault and
ensuring everything is OK, only then attempt to connect the load to the UPS.
8.3 Maintenance of Battery
Servicing of batteries should be performed or supervised by personnel
knowledgeable of batteries and the required precaution. Keep unauthorized
personnel away from batteries.
CAUTION: Do not dispose of battery in a fire. The battery may
explode.
CAUTION: Do not open or mutilate the batteries. Released electrolyte
is harmful to the skin and eyes. It may be toxic.
CAUTION: A battery can present a risk of electrical shock and high
short circuit current.
The following precautions should be taken when working
on batteries :-
1.
Remove watches, rings, or other metal objects.
2.
Use tools with insulated handles.
3.
Wear rubber gloves and boots.
4.
Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries.
5.
Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting
battery terminals.
