4. Adjust the travel time (control b):
Now the gondolas start moving. Let the gondolas contact the mountain station, but
don’t change the settings. Wait for one more run. After the second run, begin adjusting
the travel time:
Attention! Only turn the control after the drive wheel has stopped. The adjustments will
take effect only after the interval has ended.
- If the gondolas hit the mountain station, turn control (b) slightly counterclockwise
to decrease travel time.
- If the gondolas do not reach the stations, turn control (b) slightly clockwise to
increase travel time.
- Adjust the travel time in steps: After each run, increase or decrease the travel time
slightly until you reach the desired setting.
Hint: The controls are very sensitive. A very small change at the control results in a
significant change in the settings of the RIGI. The travel time can be adjusted between
approximately 3 and 50 seconds.
5. Setting the length of the station stop (reversing time):
To decrease the length of the station stop, turn control (a) counterclockwise (clockwise
to lengthen station stop). Decrease the length of the station stop in small steps after each
run until you reach the desired setting.
Hint: Reversing time = travel time + station stop. The reversing time can be set between
approximately 5 and 90 seconds.
Attention! Only turn the control after the drive wheel has stopped. The adjustments will
only take effect after the interval has elapsed.
Attention! If the reversing time is set shorter than the travel time, the RIGI does not
operate properly.
6. Enjoy! Now your RIGI should work properly. If it doesn’t, see TROUBLESHOOT-
ING.
7. Setting the speed (optional)
You can use control (a) to set the speed.
Hint: If the speed is increased, the travel time has to be decreased accordingly (and
vice versa). After changing the speed settings, perform steps 4 and 5 above to adjust the
settings of the RIGI.
TAKING DOWN AND SETTING UP YOUR RIGI
1. Pull the plug of the transformer only after the drive wheel has stopped.
2. Don’t change the settings on the valley station when putting away your RIGI.
3. After you set up your RIGI, place the gondolas halfway between the stations. Con-
nect the transformer. At the end of the first run, the gondolas run against the mountain
station. This resets the RIGI, and the second run will perform as selected before.
