1. Failure diagnosis function enables easy SVC when a defect affecting the performance of the product occurs during
the use of the product.
2. When a failure occurs, even if function adjustment button is pressed, it does not perform the function.
3. While error code is displayed due to failure, if the failure is cured, it returns to normal state.
(Reset)
4. Error code is displayed on the LCD screen. All LED will be turned off.
* Display check function : If simultaneously pressing Ice Plus button and Freezer temperature adjustment button for
a second, display on the LCD screen. If releasing the button, the LCD screen is shown animation of display on.
You check the error code within 3 hours period from initial error.
11-7. Failure Diagnosis Function
1. Open the glass door and make the LCD display locked state, and then press and
hold Freezer button for more than 3 seconds until displayed on LCD screen “Smart Diagnosis” and “3”.
- If the LCD display is already in locked state, long press the lock button to release lock, and long press the
lock button again to make it locked state.
2. Closed the glass door and open the right R-door, and place the phone near the speaker hole at the top right.
- Check if the speaker side of the phone(microphone) is toward the speaker hole.
3. Do not take away the phone while data is being transmitted.
- During the data transmission for smart diagnosis, wait with the phone placed on the speaker hole at the top right.
The remaining time for data transmission will be displayed on the LCD display screen.
4. After completing the data transmission, listen to the smart diagnosis result from the consultant.
- When the data transmission is completed, the refrigerator will be turned off and on automatically in
a few seconds with the transmission completed message. Listen to the result of the analyzed diagnosis from
the consultant and take actions.
11-8. Smart Diagnosis(only for applied model)-
Use this if there is an abnormal action or failurein the
refrigerator and when you want to contact the service center and receive precise diagnosis.
Use it only when the consultant is on line and do not run it in normal time.
11-9. Refrigerator LCD/LED/Magic Display demo function
1. The demo function of the refrigerator automatically runs on the refrigerator on exhibit to show how to operate and
use the LCD/LED/Magic Display function, and while this function is running, only the lamp and ice maker
operates.
2. To start the demo function , with the refrigerator door open, keep pressing the Refrigerator Temp Button and
ICE PLUS Button more than 5 seconds, then it goes to the display mode with Special Beep Sound.
3. In demo mode, “Demo Mode” label displayed on LCD screen while door is open.
4. If press the button, LCD screen is displayed about state of function during 5 seconds.
And then, it’s changed to “Demo Mode” label on LCD screen.
5. If you close the door, “Demo Mode” label displayed on LCD screen, and then LCD display turned off after 5 seconds.
6. To release the demo function, with the refrigerator door open, keep pressing the Refrigerator Temperature Button
and Ice Plus Button more than 5 seconds, then it goes to the user mode with special beep sound.
