Troubleshooting
Possible Cause
• External USB device is not connected.
• The connected USB device does not have enough
space.
• Internet connection is not established.
• Your broadband speed is not fast enough to use the
BD-Live features.
• The [BD-LIVE connection] option in the [Setup] menu
is set to [Prohibited].
• Your broadband service speed may not be fast
enough to stream video services (such as YouTube,
etc.)
• The ID list is full.
• The firewall or anti-virus software on your media server
is running.
• The folders or files have been added or removed after
a directory has been indexed already.
• Shared file is not playable on the player.
• The signal strength of the stations is too weak (when
tuning in with automatic tuning).
Symptom
BD-Live feature does not
work.
Streaming video services
(such as YouTube, etc.)
often stop or "buffer" during
playback.
The YouTube ID is not
automatically stored in the
ID list.
Shared folder or files from
the media server are not
displayed on the [My Media]
menu.
The shared files from media
server are not played on the

tuned in.
Correction
• Connect a FAT16 or FAT32 formatted USB device to the
USB port (see page 23).
• Secure at least 1GB free space in the USB device for
using BD-Live features.
• Ensure that the unit is correctly connected to the local area
network and can access the internet (see pages 17-19).
• Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and increase
the broadband speed is recommended.
• Set the [BD-LIVE connection] option to [Permitted].
• Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and increase
the broadband speed is recommended.
• Delete one of the stored IDs and sign in with the ID again.
• Turn off the firewall or anti-virus software running on your
media server.
• Rescan the shared folder on your media server.
• See “File requirement” on page 44.
• Use direct tuning.
