February 15, 200

GENERAL ROADSERVICE AND TOWING INFORMATION

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:

x

Lexus IS-F is a front engine, Rear Wheel Drive vehicle.

x

Car carrier equipment is the only authorized method of towing this vehicle.
THERE IS NO APPROVED PROCEDURE FOR THE USE OF SLING-TYPE
OR WHEEL LIFT EQUIPMENT ON THIS VEHICLE.

x

In an emergency situation where the vehicle will not roll or must be moved for
towing access, wheel-jacking equipment, such as Go-Jacks are recommended.
NOTE:  THE REAR DRIVE WHEELS MUST BE RAISED BEFORE
MOVING. Although a car carrier is the only authorized method of transporting
these vehicles, in conditions where access with a car carrier is limited, wheel-lift
equipment may be used. When a wheel lift is utilized, a dolly is

required

 under

the trailing wheels for both a front and a rear tow.

x

When loading or pulling the Lexus IS-F vehicles, DO NOT USE HOOKS OF
ANY TYPE ON THE LOWER CONTROL ARMS.  Follow only the approved
loading procedures specified in the following pages.

x

When parking this vehicle ensure that the transmission is in “PARK” and the
parking brake is properly set.  This vehicle does not use a conventional ignition
key or key cylinder so the vehicle can be shut off and the key removed from the
car without putting the transmission into the “PARK” position.
