TILT AND TELESCOPIC STEERING WHEEL
Check tilt and telescopic steering wheel operation.
a ) Power Switch Operation
Tilt Steering Wheel:
With the “ENGINE” switch in the ACCESSORY or “IG-ON”
mode, push the control switch up or down to set the steering
wheel in the desired height position.
Telescopic Steering Wheel:
With the “ENGINE” switch in the ACCESSORY or “IG-ON”
mode, push the control switch away from driver or toward
driver to set the steering wheel in the desired position.
When the driver’s seat belt is fastened, the steering
column can be adjusted regardless of “ENGINE” switch
mode.
b ) Automatic Tilt-away Operation
• Automatic tilt-away operation
1. With navigation system only: Set the driver’s seat
movement to a setting other than “Off” using the
Lexus Personalized Settings mode.

2. Switch the “ENGINE” switch OFF.
3. Unfasten the driver’s seat belt.
4. Check that the steering column moves away from
the driver and tilts up and that the driver’s seat moves
backward.
• Return operation
1. Switch the “ENGINE” switch to ACCESSORY mode
or fasten the driver’s seat belt.
2. Check that the steering column and the driver’s seat
automatically move to the previous position.
