WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND WASHERS
With the “POWER” switch in the ON mode:
Front wiper
a ) Push the lever toward you and check that washer fluid
squirts onto the proper area of the windshield and that
wipers are activated. Wipers will make one additional
pass after a 3-second delay.
Wash/wipe operation
b ) Check wiper speed operation on mist, intermittent, low
and high cycles. Check that the wiper blades wipe off
the washer fluid cleanly.
Intermittent Type --- Intermittent wiper operation
Rain-sensing Type* --- Rain-sensing wiper operation
Low speed wiper operation
High speed wiper operation
Temporary operation
c ) The wipers should not make any abnormal noise when
operating.
NOTE:
• Intermittent Type --- The frequency of the intermittent
can be adjusted by turning the knob.
• Rain-sensing Type* --- The sensitivity of the sensor
can be adjusted by turning the knob.
• Add washer fluid up to the proper level.
Rain-sensing Type*
d ) With the wiper switch lever in the “AUTO” position,
splash the water on the windshield around the
windshield sensor and check that the wipers operate.
REAR WINDOW WIPER AND WASHER*
With the “POWER” switch in the ON mode:
a ) Check wiper speed operation. Check that the wiper
blades wipe off the washer fluid cleanly.

Wash/wipe operation
Wash/wipe operation
b ) The wipers should not make any abnormal noise when
operating.
