Step 7: Install drivers for local
printing
A local printer is a printer attached to your computer using a USB or
parallel cable. If your printer is attached to a network instead of your
computer, skip this step and go to Step 8: “Verify printer setup” on
page 35.
Note:
For Windows
operating systems, you can
use the hardware wizard and
use the drivers CD to install
your printer drivers. Launch
the CD and follow the
instructions to install printer
software.
A printer driver is software that lets your computer communicate with
your printer. The procedure to install drivers depends on the operating
system you are using.
