5.  In the 

Track

 window, the 

Record Enable

 button should already be red. If it 

isn't, click it so that it turns red.  

6.  Play your MIDI device and make sure the MIDI track's meter shows that MIDI 

signal is present. If you don’t see level indicated on the meter, check the settings 
of the keyboard to make sure it’s set to transmit on the same MIDI channel that 
Cubase LE is set to receive on (as set up in step 4). In some cases, you may want 
to set the keyboard to “local off” and set Cubase LE to “Echo” mode. For more 
information, consult the Cubase LE manual and your keyboard’s manual.
