Commissioning
Mounting
Mount via bore holes in the bottom of the device for M6 screws or with the BT 900
mounting system (included in scope of delivery) and M5 screws.
Electrical connection – Commissioning with factory settings

Depending on the system layout, connect the BCL 900i via the MA 900 using
KB 900… interconnection cable or optionally via the MSC 900… modular scan
-
ner controller.

Apply operating voltage; the POWER LED next to the INPUT POWER M12-con
-
nection must illuminate green.

Press the MODE button (see ) until the first two LEDs – STATUS and COM
– illuminate and then release the MODE button. The BCL 900i is now in TEST
mode. Laser and decoding are active without interruption.
NOTE
Affix laser information and warning signs!
Laser warning and laser information signs are affixed to the device
(see on Page 2):
A Laser aperture
B Laser warning sign
C Laser information sign with laser parameters
Also included with the device are self-adhesive laser warning and laser
information signs (stick-on labels) in French (D, see on Page 2).

Affix the French laser signs to the device if appropriate for the lan
-
guage at the place of use.

Affix the laser information and warning signs so that they are legible
without exposing the reader to the laser radiation of the device or
other optical radiation.
NOTE
Degree of protection IP 65 is achieved only if the connectors are
screwed into place or with sealing caps!
