• Let the appliance and all accesso-
ries cool to room temperature before
cleaning. Never touch hot plates.
Risk of burns!
• In order to avoid hazards, always
disconnect the mains plug from the
earthing contact socket when not in
use and let the appliance cool down
completely.
• Place and operate the appliance
exclusively on a stable, level and
heat-resistant floor space.
• The appliance is not intended
to be operated with an external
timer or with a separate tele-control
system.

Start-up operation and use
NOTE!
Before using the device for the first
time, it is necessary to carry out a
5-minute heating process. Here, the
possibly occurring slight smell and
slight smoke development are normal
and disappear after 1-2 heating
passes. This is not a malfunction of the
device. Still, ensure adequate ventila-
tion, e.g. by opening the window.
• Place the appliance on a flat,
heat-resistant surface.
• Unwind the power cord with the
power plug completely and connect
the appliance to a properly installed
power outlet that corresponds to the
specifications on the device.
• Now carry out 1-2 approx. 5 minutes
of heating process (without ingre-
dients). Follow the instructions and
warnings under “Usage of the contact
grill”.
• Then disconnect the appliance from
the mains by pulling the mains plug out
of the socket and let it cool down to
room temperature.
• Clean the appliance as described in
the Section “Cleaning and Care”
