1. Security keyhole
You can buy a security cable that can attach to the keyhole. Use it to
anchor you computer to your desk or other large object to deny
theft. The security cable’s instructions tell you how to use it.
Hint Before you buy the security cable make sure it fits your
computer’s security keyhole.
2. USB (Universal Serial Bus) ports
You can connect USB devices to your computer, such as mouse,
full-size keyboard, and memory key, etc. The USB ports comply
with USB2.0 standards, which enable data transfer speeds 40 times
faster than the USB 1.1 standards. (The ports also support USB 1.1.)
Hint The USB device supports PnP (Plug and Play) technology,
which means you can install and remove the USB
device when your computer is on.
3. Microphone jack
Enable connection of a microphone for audio input.
4. Earphone jack
Enable connection of a headphone or external speaker for audio
output. When you connect the headphone or other device, internal
speakers are automatically disabled.
