Front bezel
Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 “Read this first: Important safety information” on page 1.
To remove and reinstall the front bezel, do the following:
1. Prepare your computer. See “Preparing your computer and removing the computer cover” on page 95.
2. Release the three plastic tabs on the left side and pivot the front bezel outward to remove it from the
computer.

3. To reinstall the front bezel, align the three plastic tabs on the right side of the front bezel with the
corresponding holes in the chassis. Then pivot the front bezel inwards until it snaps into position
on the left side.

Power button

To replace the power button, do the following:
1. Prepare your computer. See “Preparing your computer and removing the computer cover” on page 95.
2. Remove the front bezel. See “Front bezel” on page 97.
3. Locate the power button. See “Computer components” on page 31.
4. Disconnect the power button cable from the power button connector on the system board. See “Parts
on the system board” on page 34.
