Troubleshooting
If you meet any of the following problems when using the machine, you may solve them
by following the troubleshooting tips below. If a problem remains unsolved after following
these tips, please contact local dealer or Lenovo’s service support according to the contact
information in the warranty certificate and you must not attempt to repair the machine
yourself to avoid electric shock accidents or aggravating the malfunction.
Problem

No sound
produced
• USB power source is not
properly plugged.
• Plug the USB power source correctly.
• The speaker is not properly
connected.
• Check the connection of the speaker.
• Input/output cords are not
properly connected.
• Connect input/output cords correctly.
• Input mode is wrongly chosen. • Choose the right input mode.
• The speaker’s terminal is
short-circuited.
• Connect the speaker before turning
on the computer again.
• USB power is insufficient.
• With some computers, the speaker
connected with one USB interface
occasionally doesn’t produce sound.
This is generally due to insufficient
power supply from the USB terminal.
The problem may be solved by
plugging into another USB interface.
One side of
the speaker
is soundless.
• The speaker is not properly
connected.
• Check the connection of the speaker.
Buzz or
low-
frequency
noise
• Input is not grounded or not
properly connected.
• Reconnect or examine the signal
cords. If the problem persists after it
is confirmed that the connection and
signal cords are normal, then the
problem generally is caused by
crosstalk between the audio signal
and the USB terminal. Try reducing
the noise by moderately decreasing
the volume of the woofer. In addition,
you are advised to keep the speaker
more than 30cm away from your
head to ensure that you can enjoy
the optimal sound effects.
