3 TRANSPORT
After the machine has been adjusted to the transport position, it can
be transported by the tractor. Transport width amounts to 2.35 m.
Put the machine into the transport position as follows:
- Slide the swath curtain inwards and lock it by means of the
locking pin.
- Pull out the locking bar and fold up the protection guard (fig. 3).
Then slide the locking bar back into the locked position and check
that it is properly secured.
This check is to be carried out on either side of the machine.
In raised position, the safety guards also ensure that the rotor is
blocked.
- Remove the tine arms from the rotor and place them in the holder
at the front of the machine (fig. 4).
- Lift the machine from the ground (fig. 5).
- Block the effect of the rams by closing the ram valves (A, B,
fig. 5).
- Use all such lighting and warning signals as are mandatory by
law (or other regulations prescribed by the authorities).
- For transport on public roads: make sure that the front axle
weight is sufficient (fit front weights, if necessary) and that the
rear axle weight allowed as a maximum is not needed.
The machine is now ready for transport.
Never allow the PTO shaft to rotate when the machine is in the
transport position.
