3 TRANSPORT
After the machine has been adjusted to the transport position, it can
be transported by the tractor. Transport width amounts to 2.45 m.
Put the machine into the transport position as follows:
To reduce the transport height of the HIBISCUS 1525 Vario rake to
3.20 m, tine arms of each rotor can be demounted and stored in the
holder fitted on top of the rotor.
- Fold up the protection brackets and secure them by means of the
locking pin (fig. 5).
- Remove the 5 outer tine arms from each rotor and store them in
the holder on top of the rotor (fig. 6).
- Operate the tractor’s hydraulic spool valve to ensure the position
of the transport wheels whereby the machine follows the tractor
in a straight line.
- Close the ball valve of the adjustment ram for wheel steering at
the back of the machine.
- Operate the single acting tractor valve to put the machine in
headland position.
- Operate the double acting tractor spool valve to fold the machine
further into the transport position.
Continue operating the valve until the swath cover has been fully
retracted as well.
- Check if the supportframes are secured by the locking hooks
(fig. 7).
- Use all such lighting and warning signals as are mandatory by
law (or other regulations prescribed by the authorities).
- For transport on public roads: make sure that the front axle
weight is sufficient (fit front weights, if necessary) and that the
rear axle weight allowed as a maximum is not needed.
The machine is now ready for transport.
Never allow the PTO shaft to rotate when the machine is in the
transport position.
