4 MACHINE ADJUSTMENTS
Put the machine into the working position as follows:
- Pull the control cord of the hydraulic system or press the button
on the control box and operate the tractor's double acting valve.
The rotors are lifted out of their supports, after which the machine
unfolds.
- Lower the rotors onto the ground by operating the tractor's single
acting valve.
- Fit the outer tine arms.
- Unfold up the protection brackets and secure them by means of
the locking pins (fig. 6).
4.1
Working width
The working width of the HIBISCUS 1015 Profi cam rake can be
adjusted infinitely between 9.2 and 10.2 m by means of hydraulics.
The swath width can be varied between approx. 1.5 and 2.5 m.
- Operate the tractor's double acting valve to adjust the working
width and swath width of the machine.
- Use the adjustable stops on the ram to maintain a certain working
width.
- When doing so, take the pick-up width of the following machine
into account.
A swath that covers the full pick-up width ensures properly filled
bales.
4.2
Working height
If the required height cannot be obtained with the help of the spindle
adjustment, try this by adjusting the wheels to any of the 6 possible
positions.
- Adjust the working height roughly by positioning the tandem
wheels (A, fig. 7).
The end part should be secured with at least 6 hexagonal head
screws to ensure a solid connection.
- Adjust the rotor in a horizontal or slightly oblique (forward)
position by means of the height adjustment system of the front
swivel wheels.
- Adjust the correct height by means of the spindle B. The tines
should only just touch the ground.
Control of the spindle is easier while the machine is slightly lifted.
4.3
Descending speed
The speed of descending for operating the machine on headlands
can be adjusted.
- Adjust this descending speed by turning the blue button (fig. 8) on
the buffer ram.
