ADA-816 Audio Distribution Amplifier
Module
Overview
The ADA-816 is a high quality audio distribution amplifier that provides 16
low-impedance outputs. Excellent output isolation is assured by the use of
individual drivers in each output. The amplifier is designed to meet the most
demanding requirements for AM/FM/TV broadcast and program production
systems.
Heading the list of the amplifier’s exceptional performance characteristics is the
95 dB S/N ratio. Flat frequency response, carefully controlled roll-off and very
low distortion ensure a virtually transparent transmission path. The
transformerless, balanced input accepts a nominal level of +8 dBu. Although
normally bridging, it can be terminated by installing a suitable resistor. The
input is overvoltage protected up to 120 volts AC or DC. Nominal output level
is –10 dBV, unbalanced.
Isolation between modules in the mounting frame is better than 90 dB over the
entire audio frequency band.
