6.4 Wiring
Connect camera and control unit

Attach camera connection cable to the camera and to socket (8)
"CAMERA" on the control unit.
Connect peripheral devices to the control unit
The control unit has 3 different video outputs to connect monitor(s)
and documentation systems.
The control unit must have at least one monitor connected in order
to be operated.
The following connections are available:
• HDMI (4)
• 3G HD-SDI (2)
• VIDEO (BNC) (6)

Plug peripheral device connecting cable into the respective
socket (2), (4) and (6) of the control unit.
Connect power supply
The Leica HD C100 can be supplied with power over the 12 V supply
of the microscope.

Connect 12 V power supply to the socket (1) ("DC IN").

Turn on the microscope.
The control unit is connected to the power supply.
6.5 Switching the Leica HD C100 on/
off

Switch on the Leica HD C100 with the on/off switch.
The ring LED around the on/off button lights up and the camera
image is shown on the connected monitor.
The system is ready to operate.

Switch on peripheral devices.

To switch off, follow the reverse sequence of steps.
The LED ring goes out, and no image is shown on the connected
monitor.

Switch on the Leica HD C100 with the on/off button once.
The ring LED around the on/off button lights up and the camera
image is shown on the connected monitor.
The system is ready to operate.
In the following operation phase, the camera system is
switched on and off by the surgical microscope.
