Example 1: The occupied preset is set to Full, the vacant preset is set to Off. Preset 1 is active in a
room with people. People leave the room. When no motion is detected, Off is activated. A few
seconds later, a person enters the room, causing Preset 1 to be re-activated. After the room is empty,
Off is activated. Much later, someone enters the room causing Full to be activated.

Example 2: The occupied preset is set to 'none', the vacant preset is set to Off. A person enters a room
and presses a preset button to turn the lights on. When the room is empty, Off is activated. This is a
typical scenario when occupancy sensors are only used to turn lights off.

Included/excluded zones:
It may be useful to define the occupied and vacant presets with included/excluded zones so that certain
zones will be on or off depending only on the occupancy status. For example: Preset 10 is the
occupied preset. Preset 11 is the vacant preset. Zone 20 should be on whenever people are present
and off otherwise. To set this up, configure Presets 10 and 11 to only have zone 20 included. Set zone
20 to 100% in Preset 10, to 0 in Preset 11. Set all the other presets to exclude zone 20.

2.7.2 General purpose inputs

General purpose input ports can be configured to cause certain actions to occur when their associated
input signal changes state. To configure a general purpose input port, select the actions to occur when
the 'on' and 'off' states of an input are triggered.

On and Off actions for general purpose input ports:



none: no action, use this to disable an input.



Preset: activates a preset, select the preset name.



Previous preset: Only valid for an off- action when the on-action is Preset. Goes back to the
preset before the on-action preset.



Close Wall: Select the areas to be joined.



Open Wall: Select the areas to be un-joined.



Output: Controls an output. Select the output port and setting. (Use this when an S-MIO is
present in the system and it has programmed output ports).



Lock remotes: locks remote stations that can be locked.



Unlock rmts: unlocks remote stations.



Emerg On: starts emergency operation



Emerg Off: ends emergency operation. If there is more than one input assigned to EmergOn,
all must be 'inactive' to end emergency operation.



Start LtsOut: starts LightsOut.



Stop LtsOut: stops LightsOut



Occs On: enables all occupancy sensors for this station, if any.



Occs Off: disables all occupancy sensors for this station, if any.



DayLts On: enables all daylight sensors for this station, if any.



DayLts Off: disables all daylight sensors for this station, if any.



Start Autoseq: starts auto-sequencing.



Stop Autoseq: stops auto-sequencing.
