Wireless Area Controller (WAC)
Trunk or Stem LED
This LED monitors network traffic on the RS485 Backbone or Stem that links all the WACs together including any System Monitoring PCs
or PDAs.
Indicates the WAC is responding to a Stem command from a PC.
Indicates the WAC sees a command on the Stem (whether this command is for this WAC or
not)

WAC Installation considerations
This LED monitors data transmission between WAC and other SPUs.
Indicates the WAC is receiving data from SPUs.
Indicates the WAC is transmitting data to SPUs.
This LED monitors the infrared link communications between WAC and a PDA unit.
This LED monitors the infrared link communications between WAC and a PDA unit
ndicates certain WAC faults such as incorrect configuration data, memory corruption etc
This LED monitors the status of the Emergency Test (EM).
ndicates WAC is communicating with SPUs and when the Emergency Test,
currently in progress, has been stopped by pressing the EM Test Stop button is
pressed, or through the Aegis EM Test Stop command
ndicates the WAC is in control of the Emergency Test. It remains Green until the test is
fully completed
This LED monitors the Area Setup process.
Indicates the WAC is performing an Area Setup of any type (Full, Partial, RF or Cable).
This LED monitors Mains power to the WAC.

The Emergency Stop button (located on the top-left side of the WAC) is used to stop Emergency Tests in progress. This button has additional
functionality for cable-only Branches. Please contact Legrand for additional information.
Keep metal bodies away from WAC and antenna must be always positioned in the vertical direction. Once the system has been
commissioned the WAC antenna must not be moved.
