3. Installing colour filters
i) Lay the unit on a work bench making sure it sits on one of the plain plates.
ii) Remove a colour ring from the first colour holder by releasing its three fixing
springs.
iii) Use the removed ring as a template to cut all your filter pieces.
iv) Insert a filter piece into the first colour holder, secure it in place with the ring
and three springs.
v) Repeat for all colour holders.
CAUTION
ENSURE THERE IS NO EXCESS COLOUR FILTER AROUND THE EDGE WHICH COULD AFFECT THE
MECHANICAL OPERATION AND MOVEMENT OF THE COLOUR HOLDER.
4. Fitting the colour changer unit to an LDR followspot
Note: A battery screw driver with adjustable torque setting is recommended.
i) At the front of the followspot, remove the 2 cross-head self-tapping screws
from one of the two front colour runners. Replace the two screws in their
original position.
ii) Remove the second colour runner, replacing the screws as before.
iii) Position the colour changer unit on the front plate of the followspot, making
sure that the colour levers are positioned on the right-hand side of the
followspot when viewed from behind.
iv) Match the 3 holes at the back of the colour changer unit with the
corresponding M4 Avdel nut inserts on the front plate of the followspot, and fix
the unit in position using the M4 cross head screws and washers supplied
v) Ensure the colour change unit is secure, and all three screws are tight.
NOTE: Do not discard the removed colour runners, as they will be required if the followspot
is returned to its original standard.
5. Operating the colour changer
i) Press any lever to insert its relevant colour.
ii) To change from one colour to another, press the lever of the new colour and
hold it in until the previous selection is automatically released.
