Ember+
Ember+ is a TCP/IP control protocol which allows devices to remotely control parameters within POWER CORE,
or POWER CORE to control parameters within an external device.
Ember+ is a non-proprietery TCP/IP protocol supported by a wide range of Lawo products including:
·
crystal
,
crystal CLEAR
,
sapphire compact
,
sapphire/nova17
,
Nova29
,
ruby / POWER CORE
and
VisTool MK2
.
·
Broadcast applications such as
Lawo Edit
and
R3LAY
·
A__line
devices such as the
A__mic8
·
V__line
devices such as the
V__link4
All devices should be connected to the Lawo system network in the usual manner.
An Ember+ provider "publishes" parameters so that they may be controlled, or responded to, by an external
consuming device. Parameters can include logical functions via
, or Source/Summing bus
parameters such as fader and DSP functionality (see
Remote Control of Sources via Ember+
).
An Ember+ consumer can then control, or respond to, parameters published by an Ember+ providing device. For
example, to activate a red light on another console and illuminate its status.
POWER CORE
supports up to 5 Ember+ providers and 15 Ember+ consumers. This allows you to change what is
published to each external device, and how parameters are consumed.
More details about the Ember+ protocol can be found at
https://github.com/Lawo/ember-plus/wiki
The topics which follow describe how to configure an Ember+ provider and its corresponding consumer. Then, how
to use the
element to exchange logical functions. In order to configure the system, you will need to
know the TCP/IP address of each Ember+ device on the network.
