5.1 LOCKING CASTER WHEEL

There are two caster wheels located on the front of the dust collector, one of the
wheels may be locked.  Locking the wheel will prevent the vacuum from moving,
and possibly causing damage or  injury.  The  wheel should  be locked on uneven
surfaces to prevent unexpected rolling or movement.  To lock or unlock the caster
wheel, follow the procedure shown below.
•  To lock the caster wheel, press down on the metal tab
• To unlock the caster wheel, press backwards on the metal tab protruding from
the top of the wheel assembly.

5.2 FILTER CLEANING

LAVINA® V-25GX dust collector has an automatic filter cleaning cycle system with adjustable filter cleaning interval.

The  main  filter  cleaning  is  done  by  the  jet  pulse.  The
operator  can  set  the  time  interval  for  the  filter  cleaning
with  the  FILTER  CLEANING  INTERVAL  potentiometer.
The minimum interval between cleaning is 5 minutes and
the  maximum  is  50  minutes.  To  increase  the  interval,
turn  the  potentiomer  clockwise.  Each  division  of  the
potentiometer  corresponds  to  5  minutes.  The  cleaning
cycle lasts 10 to 12 seconds.

The  operator  can  activate  the  cleaning  anytime  by
pushing  the  FORCED  CLEANING  button.  While  forced
cleaning is running, the button flashes.
If the suction is not good, the cleaning cycle may be run
4  to  5  times  by  pressing  the  FORCED  CLEANING
button.  If  the  suction  does  not  improve  after  the  forced
cleaning  and  the  vacuum gauge  (pos.24; fig.1.1)  shows
more  than  0,25  bar,  change  the  main  filter.  If  suction
remains poor, also change the Hepa filter.
Always  clean  the  main  filter  before  replacing  the  waste
bag, when daily work is done or there is a poor suction.
Activate  the  cleaning  cycle  by  pushing  the  FORCED
CLEANING button.
If  the  automatic  cleaning  system  fails,  the  operator  can
clean  the  filer  manually  by  disconnecting  the  inlet  valve
from  the  actuator  and  manually  open  and  close  the
valve.  The  dust  collector  is  designed  with  the  option  to

do this with the handle for manual cleaning.
For  manual  (emergency)  cleaning  of  the  filter  follow  the
procedure:
- dismount the security cover with two bolts (pos.1,2,3;fig.5.2)

Figure 5.2

-  remove  the  hairpin  cotter  pin  (pos.5)  of  the  handle  serving  as  a  front  axle  of  the  actuator    (pos.4)  and  remouve  the
axle.

- turn the actuator as shown (pos.4).
- mount the axle in the inlet valve (pos.6).
- put the hairpin cotter pin back in the axle (pos.7).
The filter may be manually cleaned by following the following procedure:

1) Close the inlet valve

2)  Wait  for  five  seconds  to  rise  the  vacuum  and  rotate  the  lever  by  using  for  example  a  screwdriver

оr  1

1/16

wrench  (pos.8 fig.5.2)

3) Repeat the 2

nd

 step five times

4) Open the inlet valve and continue working
