Error code Cause & solution

ERR1

Signal is too weak.
Measure target locations that have stronger 
reflecting surfaces.

ERR2

Signal is too strong.
Measure target locations that have weaker 
reflecting surfaces.

ERR3

Battery voltage too low.
Replace batteries.

ERR4

Beyond working temperature.
Carry out measurement within the specified scope.

ERR5

Out of measuring range.
Use the device within the specified range.

Device 
does not 
turn on

· Check the batteries. They may be in the wrong
  way or need replacing. 
· Check the battery compartment for signs of 
  damage. Ensure they are clean and not bent.

Inaccurate 
readings

· Check the device has not received any impact
  or damage.
· Check operational surroundings and the surface
  being measured.
