Aluminium Hand Pump
CYLINDER-HAND PUMP INSTRUCTIONS
Unpack and visually check all the components, making sure that there are no oil leaks, loosen or damaged couplers, damaged threads, etc. Never
use components that are damaged or appear to be in poor condition.
Assemble the device in accordance with the instructions given in the diagram, first checking that you have all the necessary material.
Check the correct installation and perfect functioning of the device without load, in accordance with the procedure outlined below:
1.
Close the drive screw or release knob by turning anti-clockwise manually. You do not need to close too tightly.

Remove shipping plug and connect the gauge adaptor to this port. Using 2800 bar rated tube fittings, insert end of tubing through hole in
gland nut and secure with sleeve. Position end of tubing in discharge port of pump and secure with gland nut. Do not over tighten. Then
connect couplers, adaptor and hose, and connect the hose to the cylinder before start pumping. The hose could be assembled direct to
this port with couplers, but for safety reasons, we suggest to use always a pressure gauge.

The reservoir is vented so there is no need to open any air vents prior to using the pump.

Release the pump drive lever removing the hook from the lever.

Open the drive screw by turning clockwise manually and operate pump handle several times to remove air from the system and to prime the
pump.

Make sure the connection between the tool and hose are perfect. Turn the cylinder upside down to purge the air prior to use.
7.
Close the release knob counter- clockwise until you hit a mechanical stop. Use the handle to advance the application. First, fill the hose with oil.
The number of strokes required will depend on the length of the hose.

Once the hose is full of oil, the cylinder piston will start to advance.
9.
Be sure the pump reservoir is full of hydraulic oil. Never fill the reservoir unless the connected application is fully retracted.
MAINTENANCE
Oil level check.

Check oil level regularly. Drain oil and refill with Larzep oil every 12 months. If pump is used in dirty environments, change the oil more
often. Filter the oil before filling up the pump

This check must be carried out with the cylinder fully retracted. Excessive amount of oil in the tank will lead to internal pressures which will
hamper the function of the pump.

Reassemble the pump head to the reservoir and pump the pump handle approximately 50 times with the release knob open.

Return fill plug to proper position.

Replace gaskets if necessary.
Once the equipment is being used the areas exposed to wear and oxidation must be cleaned and greased.
Ensure that all the equipment and accessories are suitable
for the maximum working pressure (2.800 bar).
The pumps must always be handled and repaired by qualified personnel.
CAUTION: Loose or cross threaded fittings can be potentially dangerous if pressurized. Never hold or
stand directly in line with any hydraulic connections while pressurizing. Never grab, touch or in any way
come in contact with a hydraulic pressure leak.
Escaping oil can penetrate the skin and a serious injury can result.
