Installation of the locator
Put the locator on and spin until it
snaps in.
Tighten it up a little by using the
enclosed hex-wrench.
Setting up and crimping:
Take the locator position and the crimp mass out of table 7 according to the contact which is
going to be crimped.
Setting up the locator:
Pull the locator to the top, spin it
to the required position and let it
snap in.

Setting up the crimp mass:
the crimp mass has to be set up by spinning the set screw
when the
EPIC

CIRCON
Crimp tool is fully opened.
Process of crimping:
Bring the contact in the
EPIC
®
CIRCON
Crimp tool. By closing
the tool to the first notch level the inserted contact will get
adjusted and is safe from dropping out.
Bring the cable in the contact and close the
EPIC
®
CIRCON
Crimp tool. Press the handholds of the
EPIC
®
CIRCON
Crimp tool together until the end stop is reached otherwise the tool will not open
up. When the end stop is reached the tool will open automatically and the process of crimping is
done correctly.
