High quality (18/10 sink material) stainless steel has a natural
resistance to common hot acids and stains such as coffee, tea, fruits
and vegetables.
Steel is a safe and bacteria-free material which makes it a safe
choice for food preparation. The sink doesn’t release anything that
could affect the ingredients used in cooking.
The heat resistance of the sink is excellent but it’s good to note that
hot dishes can leave marks on the sink which doesn’t affect the
usability of the sink.
Over time, the stainless steel surface will be scratched and at first,
the sink may look scratched, but when you use it regularly the entire
surface begins to scratch evenly and the individual scratches no
longer separate from the surface. Scratching doesn’t affect sink
usability.

Kitchen sinks should be cleaned regularly before the sink start
to look dirty.
•
Warm water and hand dishwashing can be used for daily cleaning.
•
Rust-like spots may appear on the surface of the sink as a result
of electrolysis. They can be cleaned by using vinegar or citric acid.
Scrub lightly with a soft sponge and rinse carefully.
2
Immediately after installation
•
Protect the sink while tiling, painting or doing other repairs.
•
Do not wash paint brushes or store strong chemicals in the sink.
•
Heavy items can damage the surface of the sink.
•
Clean the sink immediately of any dirt caused during installation with
mild handwash.
•
It is very important to clean any small metal particles that might have
come from piping or tools. Metal particles rust quickly and gain small
rust spots on the surface of the sink.

Care instructions - Stainless steel
Removing stains
We recommend cleaning the sink regularly with the
DeepClean cleaner
intended for stainless steel pools (product number 1133). If necessary,
the
Dai cleaner
(product number 1132) is best for cleaning lime
residues.
3
Recycling
Sinks made of stainless steel are completely recyclable when they are
at the end of their useful life. Always deliver the decommissioned steel
product to a recycling point. In this case, new steel is made from the
recycled steel. All packaging materials are also 100% recyclable.
Check your nearest recycling point and get more information about
recycling at www.kierratys.info.fi

Note!
If you are using other than recommended products for cleaning
(for example, drain openers) their suitability must be verified before use.
Strong acids and alkaline cleaners must not be used to clean the pools.
Acids and alkalines may damage the surface of the stainless-steel
sinks. Various scrubbing sponges such as steel wool and other abrasive
products can scratch the surface of the sink.
