Set, Adjust the Tension on the Film

Film Tension is an adjustable setting that controls the pressure applied to the load during the
wrap cycle.

To find the optimum setting for your product:

Set the film tension at the highest level that does not cause film breaks.

Make sure that it does not cause the load to twist

Set the tension at 10 for loads with similar size layers that fit the pallet

Set the tension at 5 for all other loads.

With some premium films you can set the tension at a higher setting and not cause film breaks.

Low quality film and lower gauge film can require a lower setting

Profile Build Descriptors

8.5.1

Load Height

The Load Height is a parameter that is set through Load Guardian.

The Height of the Load is an important entry when you create the load profile.

The correct Load Height value makes sure that the system applies the correct Containment Force to the
load.

There are 3 Load Height selections:

•

Short: Less than 1016 mm (40”)

•

Medium: 1016 mm – 2032 mm (40” – 80”)

•

Tall: More than 2032 mm (80”)

Note:

Load Guardian uses the selections made during the Profile Build process to:

•

Automatically adjust the film tension; and

•

Adjust the number of layers of film
