Operating the HSL and GPS
When operating the 7831 HSL with the assistance of
GPS guidance, set the swath width for the label width in
inches less 10”

Turning On the Headland
1.
To turn the HSL around on the headland, rotate the
main body of the machine; rear upward, until the rear
gauge and row units have ground clearance 10 to 15
degrees of rotation (circuit with red hose wrap.)
2.
Once the turn is completed, the HSL can be lowered
back down to the ground.
IMPORTANT
When lowering the HSL back into working mode, it is
imperative the large tilt cylinder be fully extended. If
the large cylinder is not fully extended, the main
body of the HSL will not be free to rotate for to aft and
follow the lay of the land.
Replacing The Disc Hub
Bearing
1.
Always replace the five lip seal.
2.
Always clean and re-seal the joint between the disc
blade and the bearing hub face with silicon or a
similar substitute.
3.
Always replace the 1-8 self-locking hub nut, (Landoll
Part No. 1-512-010005-19.)
4.
Always torque the self-locking nut to approximately
200 foot pounds of torque.
NOTE
Under torquing the disc hub self-locking nut will cause
premature bearing failure.
