Dual-Angle Pengo Teeth
Refer to Figure 2-4:
Only Pengo augers have teeth that are dual-angled.
Pengo augers are shipped with teeth mounted on the flat
side for a 40
o
bite angle. They can be turned over and
mounted on the slopped side for a 50
o
bite angle.
If experiencing difficulty penetrating soil, turn the Pengo
teeth over and mount them on the slopped side for a
more aggressive bite. Be sure to tighten all mounting
hardware to the correct torque value. Refer to
“Torque
Values Chart for Common Bolt Sizes” on page 32.
