Park Stand Set-up
Refer to Figure 1-1:
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
An unsupported parked tiller can tip over. Always use park
stand and/or support blocks to prevent it from tipping over
1.
Verify tiller is supported level while resting on the skid
shoes and park stand (#3).
2. If needed, support tiller with a hoist or other lifting
device and adjust park stand as follows:
a. Remove wire retaining pin (#19).
b. Adjust park stand (#3) to a height that will support
tiller level while resting on its skid shoes.
c. Secure park stand with wire retaining
pin (#14). Make sure wire retainer is hooked over
the end of the retaining pin.
3. Lower tiller onto the park stand.
Hitch & Rear Chain Set-up
Refer to Figure 1-1:
1.
Install top 3-Point hitch plates (#6 & #7) to outside of
gearbox mounting frame (#4) with 5/8"-11 x 1 1/4"
GR 5 bolts (#10), lock washers (#17), and nuts (#13).
Do not tighten hardware at this time.
2. Install 2" long spacer (#2) between top 3-Point hitch
plates (#6 & #7) with 3/4"-10 x 4" GR5 bolt (#11), lock
washer (#18), and hex nut (#14).
3. Securely tighten all bolts (#10 & #11) to the correct
torque.
4. Install driveline guard (#8) on backside of 3-Point
hitch plates with four 1/4" wing screws (#9).
5. Install manual tube (#20) to hitch plate (#6) with two
1/4"-20 x 1 GR5 hex head cap screws (#12), SAE flat
washers (#16), and hex nylock nuts (#15).
6. Tighten 1/4" cap screws (#12) to the correct torque.
7.
Attach rear deflector chain (#5) to slot on backside of
the tiller. Refer to
page 19 for detailed instructions.
Refer to Figure 1-2 on page 9:
8. Verify clevis (#1) are 26 7/8" apart from inside of
clevis plate to inside of clevis plate as shown and
centered 13 7/16" from center of gearbox input shaft.
9. If clevis (#1) are not 26 7/8" apart and centered on
the gearbox input shaft, the following adjustments
should be made:
a. Loosen 1/2" hex nuts (#2) and reposition
clevises (#1) to the location shown in Figure 1-2.
b. Tighten hex nut (#2) to the correct torque.
NOTE:
Remove driveline guard to make accessing
