Check Driveline Interference
Refer to Figure 1-10:
DANGER
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Always secure equipment with solid, non-concrete supports
before working under it. Never go under equipment supported
by concrete blocks or hydraulics. Concrete can break,
hydraulic lines can burst, and/or hydraulic controls can be
actuated even when power to hydraulics is off.
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
A rotating driveline must not exceed an angle of 25 degrees up
or down, and never engage a driveline while at an angle
exceeding 25 degrees up or down. The driveline can break and
1. Raise the jack stands slightly off the ground.
2. Without changing 3-point lift height, shut tractor
down before dismounting. Refer to
3. Support the frame in the raised position to keep it
from falling.
4. Check to make sure the driveline does not exceed
any of the limits listed below:
•
Driveline does not exceed maximum allowable
length recorded in step 2 under
•
Driveline angle does not exceed 25
o
above
horizontal or 25
o
below horizontal.
5. If any limit was exceeded, adjust tractor 3-point lift
limiter to the height that will keep the driveline within
the recommended limit listed above. Supports
placed under the frame may need to be lowered to
complete this step.
6. If needed, repeat steps 1-5 until all limits mentioned
in step 3 are maintained.
7.
Start tractor, raise implement slightly, and drive
forward enough to clear the support.

Install Stabilizer Turnbuckles
If installing Kubota stabilizer turnbuckles, first, level the
deck and then install Kubota turnbuckles. Refer to
on page 39 and
Hydraulic Reservoir Oil Fill
Figure 1-11
Hydraulic Reservoir Oil Fill
Refer to Figure 1-11:
The hydraulic reservoir is shipped without hydraulic fluid.
1. Park tractor on a level surface, set park brake, turn off
ignition switch, and remove switch key.
2. Clean dirt from around filter element cartridge (#2)
before removing.
3. Remove cartridge (#2) and add 40 gallons of
Mobilfluid 424 to reservoir.
4. Hydraulic oil must be clean and free of any dirt or
contamination.
5. Check oil level using the sight glass (#1). Fill with
recommended oil to the full mark indicated on the oil
level decal (#3). Replace cartridge (#2).
6. Replace filter element cartridge (#2) every
150 operating hours or 2 years of service.
7.
Hydraulic component seal damage occurs at
180 degrees Fahrenheit oil temperature. Shut down
and inspect if machine overheats.

IMPORTANT:
Any high quality mineral based
hydraulic fluid such as Mobilfluid 424 with a viscosity
rating of 10W-30 is acceptable. For alternate fluids,
